Two workers died while three others were injured after a steel girder, which is a part of the bridge on the Subic Freeport Expressway, collapsed.
According to a report on Saksi on Tuesday, an investigation is being conducted on the incident and work at the site has been suspended.
The NLEX Corporation and the project contractor have pledged to extend assistance to the victims.
